First time parents Anthea and Salva talk about their positive experience with Sidra Medicine\u2019s  Obstetrics\/Maternity Services<\/a> as they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Nilia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen we found out that we were going to be parents, we were keen to find a hospital that we could trust and can guide us through this new journey.  While we had researched several options, ultimately the professionalism of the staff, the family centered care, the services, the facilities, the beautiful building and the gorgeous healing garden \u2013 just made our decision to choose Sidra Medicine so much easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every part of the journey was seamless \u2013 right from when we first entered until the day we were discharged. And everyone we encountered was outstanding. They were very supportive about helping us navigate the processes, the intricacies and the requirements from expectant parents!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Anthea said: \u201cWe appreciated how Sidra Medicine provided a safe and holistic framework for parents who were doing this for the first time.  We felt supported by an extensive and well-coordinated team, who were with us throughout the entire nine months of my pregnancy.  Starting with Dr. Varsha<\/a> who was my Obstetrician \u2013 from my first trimester right up until my delivery.  I felt I was in extremely good hands. Her experience, demeanor and professionalism just made the whole process smoother and also calming. And she was always accessible and was happy to answer all our questions \u2013 whether big or even silly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The antenatal classes by Pauline were very helpful during my third trimester. This was also our opportunity to see the facilities, get a tour of the ward and the birthing room. Seeing the level of care and the attention to detail, really put us at ease. It removed the anxiety of birthing as they guided us through the entire process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had such a positive birthing experience despite being in labor for 48 hours! While I was hoping for a natural birth, I ended up getting a C-section on account of the long labor. What I thought would be a daunting process went very smoothly.  I had a fantastic team of doctors, nurses and midwives, across various shifts, by my side.  I want to particularly thank Lenka, Claudine and Janice. They were assuring, calming and just incredible. I felt so well taken care of and appreciated the regular follow ups to see how I was doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The postpartum care was also very good. And again, I am grateful to Dr. Varsha who regularly checked in on me to make sure my after-care journey was equally thorough.  To be in such good hands with such a wonderful team really made me feel safe and comfortable.  I was so happy that I wished I could have stayed a few more days!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
