Dr. Hassan Baghazal is currently serving as a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon at Sidra Medicine and Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar, where he has been practicing since 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Baghazal’s surgical journey has been marked by continuous learning and international experience. Following his medical training and residency in the UK and Qatar, he further developed and refined his skills at Olga Hospital, Klinikum Stuttgart in Germany, where he was based for 7 years. There, he completed a residency in Pediatric Surgery, followed by a Fellowship in General and Colorectal Surgery, and served as Acting Consultant Pediatric Surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since returning to Qatar, Dr. Baghazal has dedicated himself to providing comprehensive pediatric surgical care. This includes on-call duties, outpatient clinic management, and performing a wide range of procedures to address neonatal congenital anomalies, general and thoracic pediatric surgery cases, trauma, and interventions using minimally invasive techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Baghazal’s is the lead in Colorectal and MDT Colorectal-Bowel Management programs, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Additionally, he serves as the Clinical Lead for the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) at Sidra Medicine\u2019s Department of Surgery, actively working to enhance surgical outcomes. He also participates in quality team management within the General Pediatric Surgery department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research and education are fundamental to Dr. Baghazal’s practice. He has contributed to research projects and publications on topics such as parenteral nutrition management in neonates with short bowel syndrome and endovascular treatment of traumatic thoracic pseudo-aneurysms.
